N-Gage Trivia Challenge: Win a Nokia Device

The crew over at N-Gage.com are hosting a Star Wars themed Trivia Challenge this month. The top prize for grabs is a Nokia Multimedia Device and a Darth Vader Helmet among other things, and all you have to do is turn up on the scheduled days, log in with your N-Gage Arena username and try to make the top four in the trivia events. The top 4 from each trivia event will be sent to the finals.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A TRIVIA MASTER?

The Star Wars saga continues in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Mobile, and we’ve already seen some amazing skills being displayed within the game. Now we want to see who knows the most about the complete Star Wars universe. For the next couple of weeks, Team Arena will be running Trivia Challenge Qualifier Rounds within the N-Gage Arena forums based on questions related to the Star Wars saga. The qualifiers are open to anyone who wishes to take the challenge. Each qualifer will reveal four new finalists who will battle in the Trivia Challenge Finals for a chance to win some fantastic prizes and the rights to be called a Trivia Master.

Are you ready to be a master?

THE ROAD TO BECOMING A TRIVIA MASTER
The tournament will take place from Friday, February 6th, 2009 and end at the Finals on Saturday, February 21st, 2009. N-Gage Players who wish to participate may simply join one of the five scheduled Qualifier Events taking place in a special Live Chat Room within the N-Gage Forums. All trivia events will be run in english language only. The top four players with the most correct answers from each of the five Qualifier Events (20 players total) will advance to the Trivia Finals on February 21st. The Trivia Finals will challenge the 20 finalists to a final round of trivia, and the player with the most points at the end of the final round, will be the winner and declared the champion of the tournament.*

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
To participate, you’ll need an internet connection,** and an N-Gage Player Name. Then, simply attend one of the five scheduled Trivia Challenge Qualifier Events and answer as many Trivia Questions as you can. The Trivia Challenge will be conducted in English language only.

Here is the schedule of the five Trivia Qualfier Events:

February 6th (Friday) – 18:00 UTC / 6pm London Time / 10am PST
February 7th (Saturday) – 16:00 UTC / 4pm London Time / 8am PST
February 10th (Tuesday) – 18:00 UTC / 6pm London Time / 10am PST
February 13th (Friday) – 19:00 UTC / 7pm London Time / 11am PST
February 15th (Sunday) – 17:00 UTC / 5pm London Time / 9am PST

Trivia Challenge Finals: The trivia finals with occur on Saturday, February 21st, 2009 at 18:00 UTC (6pm London/10am PST).

RULES OF THE EVENTS (QUALIFERS AND FINALS)
The Qualifer Rounds will be in the format of 20 questions, and the questions are all related to the Star Wars universe.
•

* The first player to correctly answer the question get’s 1 TRIVIA POINT (not NGP or MP)
* If you are the second or more player to correctly answer the question – Sorry, No Points! Only first counts!
* The player with the most points at the end of the 20-questions is the winner. The top four advance to the finals.
* When you enter the Qualifer Round Event Room, you are AUTOMATICALLY enrolled for the EVENT.
* The trivia begins at 15mins past the hour, at which point the fine rules are shown. The trivia then begins.
* To compete, WAIT FOR THE QUESTION to be shown, and then type your answer. Be sure to READ THE QUESTION, THINK FAST and TYPE ACCURATELY.
* You get ONE chance to answer a Question. Further answers are disallowed.
* If the question takes a while to answer, the question will be repeated
* The trivia will not wait for the one person needing the bathroom, breakfast, dinner, lunch, swim, etc
* The rules do not get repeated for late arrivers.
* Abbreviations are not accepted, (for example WWP instead of Worms World Party, or NGP instead of N-Gage Points)
* Spelling counts. Always, however CaPS don’t MATter
* Questions can and have been answered in less than a few seconds – so be ready.
* The moderator will announce “Hands on Keyboards” before posting the question.
* The moderators’ rulings are final.
* If there are any ties at the end of the 20-questions, to determine the final four, then they will be handled by a tie breaker question.

TRIVIA FINALS ADDITIONAL RULES – Same as above with the following changes:
The trivia finals with occur on Saturday, February 21st, 2009 at 18:00 UTC (6pm London/10am PST). The Trivia Finals will challenge the 20 finalists to a final round of trivia, and the player with the most points at the end of the final round, will be the winner and declared the champion of the tournament.

* •The 20 finalists will be the only ones allowed to answer the questions. Spectators will be allowed but muted.
* The trivia finals will have 20 questions separated by Four Categories (5 questions each category).
* A random player will be selected to go first and will pick a category.
* Multiple answers are allowed until the final answer is posted
* The player who answers the question correctly will earn the points and be allowed to pick the next category.
* Ties at the end of the 20-questions will be handled by a tie breaker question.

The 20 finalists will be the only ones allowed to answer the questions. Spectators will be allowed but muted.

Third Place– 300 N-Gage Points, and one N-Gage game Activation Code of for a game of your choice.

The 20 Trivia Finalists — All 20 trivia finalists will earn an extra 150 N-Gage Points.
