Monopoly now out on N-Gage

Good News for all you Monopoly lovers : Monopoly Here & Now “The World Edition” is now out on N-Gage.

Travel around the world’s greatest cities, wheeling and dealing in millions of MONOPOLY dollars. As you play, discover interesting facts about the world on the Chance and Community Chest cards. To download the game, navigate to the Showroom Tab in the N-Gage application in your Nokia device, select “Option” and then “Update now“. After doing that, you should see it listed in the showroom.

(Note: The game seems to only be available in the Device Showroom for now though.)

Aite first impressions. It’s Monopoly on your phone !

Yes, I know, shocking eh ? The game plays out pretty much as you’d expect it to. The board seems a bit tiny, even on the N96′s massive screen though.

Every so often, when you roll your dice, it’ll go to a different view and an animation of what’s going on. Nice touch.

And of course, there’s the “Get out of Jail Free” card. This is Monopoly after all !

The controls are pretty easy to pick up. In both portrait and landscape mode.

And a VERY nice touch is that you can turn off the animations if you get annoyed by them (like I tend to sometimes).

So how’s it fare ?

Pretty okay. Basic Monopoly game but I havent had a very long go at it, so I cant really judge it yet.
