Prince of Persia Now Out on N-Gage
Here’s a game a lot of people have been waiting for. Prince of Persia is now out on N-Gage.
The Prince is back in a new kind of adventure in full 3D where cooperation with the mysterious Elika will let you perform actions never before seen on a mobile device. Partnered with Elika, prepare for amazing acrobatics and fight gigantic monsters in 360° with a mix of magic and electrifying combat techniques! To save the world from a magical menace that has contaminated everything in its path, you must be ready for anything: ride a dragon, swing from precariously high ropes, and fight a multitude of enemies in gigantic 3D environments full of traps and secrets to discover.
You can read more about it on the Official Game Page .
To download the game, navigate to the Showroom Tab in the N-Gage application in your Nokia device, select “Option” and then “Update now“. After doing that, you should see it listed in the showroom.
Or download it from the N-Gage Web showroom.
(Note: The game seems to only be available in the Device Showroom for now though, at the time of this post.)
The game weighs in quite large at 24Mb, which goes up to 33Mb on installation.
Screenshots and first impressions, after the break.
When it comes to Options, you have your basic sound levels, controls and orientation (if your phone supports it).
There are three levels of difficulty which are basically Easy, Medium and Hard.
Loading times are pretty fast. Not super quick but good enough. The demo lets you play the whole first level, which gives you a good feel of the game.
The graphics are 3D-like and the music is standard for this genre.
Frame-rate isnt really a problem, although I did notice it was a bit more laggy on the N96 than it was on the N82 (since the N82 has a built in gfx card, which isnt on the N96 this might be the reason), so make sure you check out the demo to see if you’re okay with it.
There’s the usual bit of jumping around, running along walls and fighting enemies, as you’d expect from a Prince of Persia game.
I have to say, so far I am very impressed.
