The Nokia N85 gets a Firmware update to version 30.019

The Nokia N85 just got a firmware update to version 30.019 . Its previous firmware was v20.175.

N85 new Firmware

The N85 does have UDP (User Data Preservation), so while its always a good idea to backup all your data before the firmware update, none of your programs or data should be affected with the update.

Remember you can update using the N85’s OTA (Over-The-Air) feature, or if you prefer you can download Nokia’s Software Updater application to update your N85 on your windows PC.

If there’s no new firmware detected for your device yet, it might be because it hasnt reached your region product code yet, or maybe your device is carrier branded. It should roll out to all product codes eventually though.

There’s no actual changelog out yet, but we will update this post as soon as we find one.

Have you updated your N85 yet ? Notice anything new ? Do let us know in the comments y’all.

Hi CJ, have you also updated your N85 to the latest firmware v30.019? Did you notice any changes? I myself have an N85 and updated it to the latest firmware just a few hours ago. I haven't noticed any big changes except for the “My Nokia” icon in the Utilities folder which now has the Ovi icon. I expected the latest firmware would also include the Ovi Contacts application like that of the Nokia N79 when it received its latest firmware v30.011 about a month ago, but it seems that it wasn't the case. I don't know if it's only my phone, but I was really sure that it wasn't there. How about yours? Please tell me your observations. Thanks!

so far, have notice the the rediculous time it used to take to render a photo on zooming is now almost instant, addmitably that could have been done by version 20, didn't test it then

firmware 30.019 is a bit fatser than the previous one I had, v10.xx

But sometimes it still takes time for it to lock the keypad when i've slided the screen. And yah, lot of improvement form v 10 to v30
