Upcoming Nokia N86 Firmware to Include Face Detection
While Nokia’s Rivals like Samsung and SonyEricsson have had all sorts of tech in their camera software (like Face Detection, Smile Detection, etc) to help the user experience, Nokia’s own Camera Software have been rather….plain.
Well, apparently that’s going to change (slightly) as the crew from AllAboutSymbian found out that an upcoming Nokia N86 Firmware will have Face Detection as a feature in the camera software.

The next software is also supposed to include Image Quality Improvements. Head on over to Their Post, to read more.
I’m honestly really happy to see Nokia improving on the tech on their Camera phones (finally). Now if we could just have Xenon Flash back on the “Imaging Devices” please ?

I read somewhere that Nokia is burying xenon… and if they are doing it… that's bad… The xenon is what set the N82 apart from the lowly devices… chucking xenon is a bad business decision!
Gosh I hope that's wrong. If Nokia completely drops Xenon on their “Imaging” oriented devices that'd be a really really stoopid decision.
But then again with the sort of devices they've been releasing lately, it sort of looks like they have :(
