Nokia 5530 XM vs Nokia N82 : Size Comparison Pictures

The other day, when we put the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic up against the Nokia N97, we mentioned that the 5530 XM was quite significantly smaller than even our good ol’ N82, which we never considered “big” by any means.

With that in mind, here are a couple size comparison pictures of the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic vs the Nokia N82.

Front View :

Here you can see that the 5530 is quite a bit smaller and a tad thinner than the N82.
The 5530 has all touch keys on the front, with its 2.9″ touch screen. The N82 is all hardware buttons with an Alpha-Numeric keypad, under its 2.4″ screen.

Both devices have a VGA front facing camera for videocalls and a light sensor on the front. The 5530 also has a proximity sensor.

Back View :

The N82 has its 5 Megapixel Carl Zeiss Camera & Xenon flash covered with a lens protector. The Nokia 5530 XM has a 3.2 Megapixel Nokia Brand Camera, with a single LED Flash with no lens protector.
At the lower right side of the 5530 is its Stylus hidden away.

The N82 has its microUSB port and charging port here on the left side. There’s also its MicroSD port.

The 5530 has its MicroSD and SIM card port here which is covered with a large plastic slot.

You’ll notice that the 5530 is also a lot ‘slimmer’ compared to the N82.

The N82 has its power button and 3.5mm standard audio jack (with TV-Out) here.
The 5530 XM has its power button here only.

Right View :

Both devices have their dedicated Camera Buttons here, along with a Zoom in/out (aka Volume Increase/Decrease) Key.
In addition the N82 has a gallery button in the middle.
The 5530 XM also has its sliding screen/keypad lock switch here, in the middle.

Bottom View :

Nokia 5530 XpressMusic vs Nokia N82

The N82 has a very minimalist look here with only a tiny slot for its mic.
The 5530 has its standard Nokia Charging port here, a MicroUSB port (which cannot be used to charge the device) and its 3.5mm Standard Audio port (without TV-out).
