YouTube App for Symbian gets v2.4 Update; Now allows Sign-in
Thanks to theNokiaReview, we’ve gotten to know that the YouTube App for Symbian has been updated to version 2.4. The new update allows you to now log in to your YouTube account.

This now means, you can (finally) access all your favourites, playlists, subscriptions, etc in your YouTube acount, right from your Mobile Device. There’s also a couple more new features in this update as posted on the YouTube Blog :
In today’s release we have added search query suggestions, ‘My Account’ support, and a new homescreen user interface that is optimized for larger screens. Now when you log into your YouTube account on our phone, you can view your favorites, subscriptions and playlists from wherever you are. Let’s say you have recently found an amazing basketball shot video and favorited it on your desktop PC. When you’re at the basketball court with your friends, all you need to do is launch the YouTube app and go to your “Favorites” to show it to them.
Another feature that we have added is query suggestions. When you type into the YouTube search box, you get relevant suggestions. This saves on typing, which is especially useful for mobile phones where text input may be difficult.
About Time, eh ?
To grab the update, head on over to M.Youtube.com/App on your Nokia Symbian device.

Pointed my N97 at the URL, told me not supported :(
Just tried it on the N97 Mini. Looks like it isnt supported for the N97 Variants yet (although it should work fine because it works on the 5800). D'oh.
I can't login with my Nokia 5800XM, says error username/password… special characters not supported?
Strange. That might be a bug I guess.
Maybe. I saved the YouTube app in the SD memory… and I don't know why the error :-s
yup – unsupported according to my N97.. What gives?!
Does anyone have a workaround?
